PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is a local, state  and national non-profit organization that comprises millions of families, students, teachers, administrators, and business and community leaders devoted to the educational success of children and the promotion of family engagement in schools.

 

PTA addresses issues that are important to parents and public school administrators. PTA fights for funding and advocates for every child at the local, state and national level. When you join PTA you help speak up on behalf of the needs of every child at your school.

 

Akin PTA is led by a 10 member Board along with school administrators. Our mission is to build a community of support for the students, teachers and families of Akin by bringing special programs to our school, support our teachers and connect families within our school community.

 

PTA funded programs and events help fill in the gaps of a traditional school budget.

We’re a membership organization that is driven by volunteer input, ideas and we are fully funded by local membership dues and school fundraisers. Your membership matters and we need you!!
